This is a sanctuary created for women to soften, to breathe, and to be held in an atmosphere of pure devotion. It is a time of receiving, rest, and restoration, a sacred pause where you do not have to give, fix, or perform. You are simply invited to be. Every element of this experience is designed to awaken and enrich the sensorium of the soul. Through touch, scent, sound, beauty, warmth, and presence, we tend to the inner temple. Soft fabrics, anointing oils, candlelight, gentle music, and the quiet hum of prayerful attention will invite your body and nervous system into a deeper state of ease. This is an immersion for your whole being: body, heart, mind, and spirit. You will be guided through a Magdalene Sophia / Temple of Roses receiving ritual. A rich, sublime, luxurious experience of being cared for in holy light. Expect tender hands, compassionate presence, and a field where your weariness is honored and your sacredness is remembered. This is a place where your inner sanctuary is seen, supported, and lovingly held. RSVP and registration are required. Also, if guided at the door bring an offering for the larger community: A financial contribution, or An item-based offering such as food, warm clothing, blankets, or other supportive items for women and families in need, or both. Every contribution directly supports The Affirmary and Sancta Luma’s commitment to caring for women of all ages through the winter months and beyond. Sancta Luma is a grassroots ministry of Holy Wisdom, built from the ground up, for the people, to serve the communities in front of us.
